History:
Founded in 1992, as the Market Cobbler League, we have been providing a service to the community of Lancaster & Morecambe for over a decade now. The League changed it's name to the Crystal T's League in 1999, after further sponsorship from the Market Cobbler (you know who you are) failed to materialise. Crystal T's then closed down in 2005 (you know who you are too), leaving us looking for a new sponsor. Could it be you?
The league has gone through a mountain of teams in it's history. Maybe you have played for one in the past. Recognise any of these ? :
Borrowed Boots (1992-2002), East Road (1992-2000), Yorkshire Bank (1992), Lancaster Double Glazing (1992), Sherwoods (1992), AFC Bath (1992), Cannon Hygiene (1992-1998), Spar FC (1992), Kwik Fit (or Park Life)(1992-1999), ACT Financial Systems (1992-1993), Lancaster Castle (1992-1993), Prospero (1992-1994), Spartans (1992-1993), Tesco (1992-1993), Bay Rovers (1993-1994), Squires Badgers (1993-1994), Lancaster and Morecambe Newspapers (or Litten Tree, or FC Kalimba) (1993-2006), George & Dragon (1994-1997), Market Wanderers (1994-1995), Parkside (1994-1995), Lancaster Fasteners (1995-1998), Plas Tech (or Bay View Cars)(1995-Present), LCC Direct Works (1996-1997), King Eddy (or Farmhouse Tavern)(1997-1999), Rigsby's Rangers (1997-1998), Merchants (or The Ranch House) (1998-Present), Alex Allies (or Waterwitch)(1998-2000), House of Anderson (1998-1999), Oscars (1998-2005), Morecambe Supporters (1999-Present), Overton FC (2000-2002), West End (2000-2001), Cross Keys (2001-2002), Skerton Hotel (2001-2002), Upstairs Downstairs (2002-2005), Nationwide Filters (2002-2003), Regent Rovers (or The Chieftain) (2003-Present), Lancastrian (2003-2004), Inter Carling (2003-2004), SWS UK (2004-2006), Plas Tech Bears (2004-2006), Reebok FC (2005-2005), C & M Motors (2006-2007), The Bradford Arms (2006-Present), Internationale (2006-Present) and The Duke of Rothesay (2007-Present)
Summary:
Our League is a friendly League, specifically designed for those not good enough, or too old, to play for serious teams (though we find that some teams actually do take it quite seriously, by training).
We welcome touring teams, although if you are a serious outfit, or even reasonably fit, we recommend you play our League XI rather then humiliate one of our sorry teams! See contact details.
To join our League or to find yourself a team, please use the contact form.
